The Pilgrim Soul Forge is proud to offer course work in knifemaking.  These have been our most popular classes for the past decade. 

Unlike other schools, the Pilgrim Soul Forge emphasizes the completion of the entire knife.  The 24 hours shop time  is a reflection of this emphasis.

 Bladesmithing I:  Intended for those who have little or no bladesmithing experience, the goal of this course is for the student, under close supervision, to complete a utility knife in the 4" to 4.5 " blade length.  The student will forge their blade of top-quality blade steel, usually AISI O-1.  The student will then harden & temper their blade, grind  and then create a beautiful hardwood handle & bolster to finish the knife. 

This course is 24 hours, usually done in three eight-hour days.  Flexible scheduling is available.  Cost: $375.00 US.

Intermediate Bladesmithing:  Prerequisite: Bladesmithing I or comparable experience. 

 This course is intended for those who have prior bladesmithing experience.  The student will complete a knife of his or her own design using more advanced techniques and/or materials.

This course is also 24 hours,usually done in three eight-hour days.  Flexible scheduling is available.  Cost: $375.00 US.
